The Landing, a program of Family Services, Inc. is looking for 1-2 volunteers to tutor high school students in Calculus. The Landing is located at 640 East Diamond Avenue, Suite B in Gaithersburg.
The Landing's mission is to provide a comprehensive array of recovery and support services to Montgomery County youth through programs designed to support youth through their recovery process, and engage them in their own recovery. This is accomplished through activities that promote development in the areas of: Education, Vocation and Career, Recovery from Substance Abuse, Social/Recreational, and Healthy Living.
Volunteers are asked to commit to 1-2 tutoring sessions a week on Mondays and/or Wednesdays for an hour between 4-6pm. Volunteers must be 21 and older.
All volunteers will need to attend a new volunteer orientation, complete a background check and submit a notarized Child Protective Services form.
