Summary: Tarrant County College is partnering with Gamestop and MHMR Tarrant County to host a video game competition on September 20th. Some of the participants in this competition will be adults that have intellectual or developmental disabilities. The Video Game Buddy helps to strengthen social, motor, and communication skills of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through the use of an X-Box 360 gaming console. This position is open to any individual who has experience playing video games and who would like to use this hobby to teach skills to the individuals during this event.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interact with adults with special needs using an X-Box gaming console
Qualifications:
* Casual gaming experience with an X-Box 360 gaming console
* Ability to work patiently with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
* Good listening skills
* Desire to learn more about adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Requirements:
* Must be 18+
* Must pass a criminal history check
* Must complete an online orientation
Time Commitment:
9:00am to 3:00pm on September 20th, 2018.
