We are in search of volunteers to welcome families and children to The Care Center.
The volunteer will provide general hospitality to ensure that everyone feels comfortable, welcomed and safe. The volunteer will play with children and facilitate activities such as crafts, reading or imagination play. This is what is known as play orientation and is a very important piece of the child advocacy model! Questions? Don't hesitate to contact our Volunteer Coordinator Hailey@carecenter-okc.org

Description
Child Advocacy Center of Oklahoma County. A task force was formed in 1991 to bring this model of child advocacy to Oklahoma. We work as part of a multidisciplinary team to help the child/family get healing , resources, and justice. Our services include Forensic Interviews, Family Advocacy, Medical Exams, Referral Services, ROAR Abuse Prevention Training for children as well as Recognizing and Reporting Abuse for adults. In 2017 we served 1964 children and 1623 adults. At The Care Center we are committed to preventing child abuse through education and helping children find their voice and heal after abuse.
