GiGi's Playhouse provides free educational and therapeutic programs for individuals with Down syndrome. We have several current programs that need volunteer assistants-
LMNOP: Ages 0-3
Leaps & Bounds Ages 3-5
Fantastic Friends Ages 18+
GiGiFit for 18+
GiGi's Kitchen: Ages 6-12
GiGi's Kitchen for 18+
Art Explosion for 18+
All of our programs are run by volunteers. We have volunteer leads (takes on responsibility of lesson plans and running program) and Volunteer assistants (takes on the role of helping in programs). We are looking for people to take on these roles in all programs. Volunteer assistants are essential to make the programs a success.
We provide training and support.

The journey of GiGi’s Playhouse Fort Myers began with the dedication of area families in 2014, and our doors officially opened on July 29, 2017-making it the 33 rd GiGi’s Playhouse Down syndrome achievement center across North America and the 2 nd in Florida. Centrally located in Fort Myers, we serve families across all Southwest Florida communities.
All of our therapeutic and educational programs and tutoring are free and support all ages, from families with a prenatal diagnosis through adult individuals with Down syndrome. Our programs focus on a variety of skills, including gross and fine motor skills, literacy and math skills, social skills, and confidence-all with the goal of helping individuals with Down syndrome become their best selves.
