Tl;dr: Cambridge Arts, a non-profit arts program with the City of Boston, is hosting its 10 th annual Open Studios this year. The event promotes over 250 artists that live or work in Cambridge - this would be a perfect opportunity for anyone looking to be more involved in the Cambridge Arts community. Those that are interested can reach out to me at ifung@cambridgema.gov

----

Open Studios is an event showcasing visual, performing, and literary artists active in all neighborhoods of Cambridge. During one spectacular weekend in September 2018, more than 140 Cambridge based artists working in all media will participate in this celebration of art at approximately 80 venues throughout the city. This year Open Studios is running the weekend of Sept. 29th and 30th, from 12pm-6pm. We're looking for volunteers to engage and inform visitors at the common venues where we will host multiple artists in one space. The shifts will be 3 hours long (12-3 or 3-6).

If you volunteer, you'll also be invited to:

  1. A pizza planning party, where we will provide all the information and materials you will need as a volunteer
  2. Preview showcase exhibition, where you'll have the opportunity to preview works as well as mingle with artists over refreshments
  3. VIP reception, where we'll have a reception as a celebration and appreciation event for artists and volunteers

Please send your statement of interest, along with your availability to ifung@cambridgema.gov by Wed, Sept. 19th.
We hope you will join us!
