Want to make a difference in the community and positively impact an individual's life? Here's your chance! At Wealth By Health Steps For Change Foundation, we are dedicated to serving underserved communities through our various initiatives. To accomplish this, volunteers are at the very heart of our mission and will assist with the functions of the events. Location and time will be based on where and when the specific event is taking place.
April 16th, 2023: Free Health Clinic Event
The Wealth By Health Steps For Change Foundation's April 16th, 2023 Free Health Clinic Event, in the City of Rosemead, will provide free health services to low income individuals who face significant barriers in accessing healthcare. Services include medical, dental, vision, Eastern medicine, and flu vaccinations.
Licensed medical professionals will be providing medical services in their area of expertise.
Provider needed: Physicians, General Dentists, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Registered Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants, Optometrists, Opticians/Ophthalmic Techs, Pharmacists, Acupuncturists.

General volunteers will assist with the set up of event, checking in of patients, assisting patients with paperwork, escorting patients to the correct medical station, answering any patient questions, etc.

- Please note that general volunteers without any licenses or certifications will only be assisting with the general operations of the clinic and nothing clinically related.
*general volunteers are non-medical volunteers - no prior medical experience necessary*
*Please note if you are able to lift 50lbs or more. Your assistance with event set-up/breakdown shall be greatly valued.*
There is a mandatory orientation prior to event day. Date, time, & location (or virtual) is TBD.

To improve the health and wellbeing of underserved populations by providing accessible resources that will empower individuals to achieve a greater quality of life.
Description
Founded in 2016 on the basis that attaining quality health care should be accessible to all people, we first established a mobile clinic to provide free health services for low-income, uninsured, and underinsured families in areas classified as "healthcare deserts". With just one doctor and one dentist, we set out to serve elderly patients at a local temple. Over time, more healthcare providers reached out to express their shared vision in increasing health equity. Today, our team of healthcare providers include dentists, dental hygienists, physicians, pharmacists, registered nurses, acupuncturists, and optometrists.
We envision a healthier and more equitable world where every human being has an equal opportunity to succeed in life- where all sectors of society come together to reduce social and economic inequities- and where individuals inspire each other to be in active pursuit of social good until it is achieved.
