West Suburban Community Pantry is actively recruiting for energetic, passionate and hard-working board members. We are looking for board members who believe in our mission and are willing to be active in their governance role.
The West Suburban Community Pantry Board of Directors provides organizational leadership and vision, engages in strategic planning and forecasting for the agency and participates in agency fundraising efforts. Each board member also joins a committee of the board. Our committees include finance, fundraising and development, and governance.
Our board meets quarterly, from 6 - 8 PM.
WSCP is a Woodridge based food pantry that serves over 40,000 people each year. Clients of the Pantry are working families, children, and the elderly. Clients do not always know where their next meal will come from or how they will make ends meet. Each food distribution offered by WSCP provides the equivalent of 98 meals to those served.
WSCP Board Members are proud of our organization and enjoy seeing their hard work reflected in the clients we serve.

Mission Statement
The West Suburban Community Pantry (WSCP) offers food for the hungry and resources to empower people to improve their quality of life.
Description
Located in Woodridge since the 1970's, The West Suburban Community Pantry currently serves over 9,000 individuals each month. WSCP is integral to helping people in DuPage and Will Counties receive the nutrition they need to lead full lives. We work to break down barriers to food assistance, implement new services to best help people in our community, encourage volunteerism, and educate about existing needs.
After finding and fostering families and individuals who need care, we can also refer resources to ease and eliminate the circumstances that led customers to seek emergency aid.
