Dogs in the Rescue Coordinator

We are looking for a Coordinator for our Dogs in the Rescue. We work daily to find dogs in danger, answer inquiries from potential adopters and to match dogs and adopters. It is a constant need.

Must be people oriented, passionate about the cause and accountable. Experience helpful but not necessary. Will train the right person. This position is non compensated. We will work with agencies or organizations willing to sponsor or compensate the right candidate.

These are subject to change dependent on the needs of the rescue and the skills of the coordinator. Some of the responsibilities of this Coordinator include:
Calls shelters, rescues and owners for more information on dogs
Researches for leads on dogs needing homes
Calls potential adopters
Arranges transportation as needed
Writes social media posts for dogs that need homes
Promotes and networks dogs that need homes
Works with vets to provide vet care for rescue dogs
Tracks and reports number of dogs contacted and rescued
Fills out intake sheet on each dog
Keeps file folder for each dog
Keeps accurate record of dogs and adopters, leads and outcomes.
