The Neighborhood Pantry at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church is closing down for a day to refresh, reorganize and deep clean. We want to make this pantry the best it can be and we need your help to do it! Cleaning supplies and music will be provided to mix in a little fun. There are 4 shifts throughout the day, each asking for 6 volunteers and focusing on different rooms/areas. Food/snacks will be provided as outlined in the shift descriptions on our online volunteer calendar. NourishKC, formerly known as Episcopal Community Services, specializes in a unique blend of food related programs.
The Kansas City Community Kitchen provides more than 1500 restaurant-style meals each week to anyone who comes to eat. Our Food Security Network supplies thousands more meals per year through a network of food pantries, BackSnack programs and other meal programs around the metro. Perhaps what makes us most unique is our Culinary Cornerstones training program which provides individuals an opportunity to learn life skills as well as culinary skills, giving them a chance to get a living wage job that will provide them with food access for the long term.
