Our Mission: Discovery! Appreciation of History! Sharing and preserving our heritage through hands-on experiences! Friendly, attentive volunteers and staff!
The Troy Historic Village provides a friendly atmosphere to learn about our culture from the past, present and future, through programs and gatherings to grasp information in the most effective way.
Our Goal: To create historical awareness in our community and help individuals learn about our past as we understand we come from various backgrounds and locations. Furthermore, we hope to enrich the volunteer experience to create a friendly environment in our community.

Description
The Troy Historical Society is a nonprofit organization with more than 40 years of success in preserving and presenting the history of our region. On July 1, 2011 the Troy Historical Society assumed responsibility for operation of the Troy Historic Village, where history lives. The Troy Historic Village includes ten historic buildings, surrounding a village green that is enhanced by gardens and mature trees. A tent and gazebo on the green provide areas for outdoor concerts, storytelling and reading aloud. There is ample space for picnics and traditional activities and games. Our historic buildings host concerts, lectures, discussions and meetings, as well as exhibits of arts and artifacts.
The Troy Historic Village is a destination for students, children, families and adults who live in or visit southeast Michigan.CAUSE AREAS
