Girls Inc. of Santa fe

Girls Inc. of Santa Fe is starting the second year of our Bold Futures Group Mentoring program in the Santa Fe Public Schools. We are looking for upbeat, responsible people who would like to make a difference in their local community. Mentors meet with their groups (4 to 5 girls ages 9 to 12) one to three times a month, depending on school schedules and holidays. Groups will meet after-school on Fridays and maybe a weekday. There may also be Saturday field trips. The program starts sometime mid-October and goes through the end of the school year.

Applicants should be willing to be silly, have fun, be patient, good listeners, and be pro-girl. Experience with children is a plus, but not necessary. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is also a plus, but not necessary.

People interested in applying will be required to submit an application, attend a Girls Inc. tour, have an interview, pay $15 (non-refundable) for a background check, attend a 3-hour Girls Inc. experience training, and attend a mentoring webinar.

Those interested in applying can visit our website at https://girlsincofsantafe.org/take-action/volunteer/ or call Julia Gay at 505-982-2042, ext. 103.
