Volunteer Date: Saturday, 5 October 2019

Location: Bell Middle School, Downtown Chappaqua

How you can help on October 5th:

  1. Sign up for the time slot that works best for you HERE: http://www.ccbfestival.org/volunteer/
  2. Show up at the Volunteer Station at Bell Middle School 10 minutes before your start time
  3. You will be given your job on the day
  4. Have fun!

What do Volunteers do?

Each and every Volunteer has an important job to make the Chappaqua Children’s Book Festival an inspiring success. Jobs can include helping with set up (signage, books, table, chairs), greeting authors, welcoming visitors, helping to bag books for customers, helping authors during readings and signings, and more...

Specific jobs will be assigned when you check in for your time slot at the Volunteer Station.

There is no shortage of ways to help.

Who can Volunteer?

We welcome our entire community to volunteer. You can volunteer individually or as part of a team or club. Families, Friends, Sports Teams, Scouts, Clubs - All are welcome to be part of this inspiring day. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Chappaqua Children’s Book Festival is a non-profit, volunteer-run, educational event where prominent children’s authors meet the public, chat about their books, and sell signed copies. It’s a fun-filled family day that includes book readings, a food court, entertainment and many kid-oriented activities.

Who We Are Chappaqua Children’s Book Festival is a non-profit, volunteer-run, educational event where prominent children’s authors meet the public, chat about their books, and sell signed copies. It’s a fun-filled family day that includes book readings, a food court, entertainment and many kid-oriented activities.

Why We Need YouThe festival is run 100% by volunteers. Volunteers make the entire day possible from set up to author hospitality,

Help Change Lives with CCBF We are proud to support Reading Buddies Mentorship Programs throughout Westchester County, run by JCY-Westchester Community Partners. These programs provide students from disadvantaged neighborhoods with caring, one-on-one volunteer mentors who meet with them every week during the school year. Reading Buddies is also offered at libraries over the summer where students meet with mentors to maintain their literacy skills. We are happy to supply this wonderful organization with volunteers, books, and when possible, funding.

When and Where September 29, 2018 in front of Bell Middle School and St. Mary’s Church. Volunteers can choose from shifts are need 8am-6pm.
