Project Open Hand's mobile program, a "pop-up shop" vehicle that ventures into some of the most vulnerable neighborhoods in San Francisco, provides clients access to services right in their own communities. The vans are outfitted to provide all of the services provided at Project Open Hand's headquarters.
Volunteers will assist in loading the mobile van at our 730 Polk Street location and accompany staff to the Mission Neighborhood Health Center. Volunteers help set up the pop-up, help clients in completing their grocery list, shop for selected grocery items, and clean up as needed.
