Twin Cities Veg Fest is for anyone and everyone - from omnivores to vegetarians and vegans. The festival features a wide variety of exhibitors, speakers, and cooking demos. Enjoy free food samples, delicious plant-based cuisine, fun cooking demos, and insightful presentations.
All volunteers get a limited edition 2023 Twin Cities Veg Fest t-shirt. Those who volunteer for high-need positions also get a free Twin Cities Veg Fest 2023 swag bag: a tote filled with donations from our sponsors.
We strive to be a zero-waste event, and are especially in need of zero waste heroes (volunteers) to help attendees sort compost, recycling, and trash.
There are many positions available in shifts throughout the day. You can view positions, shifts, and sign up here: https://signup.com/Group/14006944057/. Alternatively, indicate interest through this website. One of our volunteer coordinators will contact you.
The festival itself takes place on Sunday September 17. Saturday is a set-up day.
This is an excellent opportunity for:
- Individuals
- Family Groups
- Corporate Groups
If you are especially interested in food distribution, exhibitor load-in/load-out, or zero waste, please let us know.
We will try to put family, corporate groups, and service organization members together unless we hear that you'd prefer otherwise. Please let us know if you are part of one.
We welcome your participation!

Mission Statement
We encourage people to cultivate empathy for animals and move towards a plant-based diet.
Description
Compassionate Action for Animals (CAA) encourages people to embrace their empathy for farmed animals and move toward a plant-based diet. We do this through increasing awareness of the lives of farmed animals, building community through plant-based eating, nurturing advocates in the Twin Cities region, and supporting individuals and institutions to transition to plant-based eating.
Our small staff works with hundreds of volunteers, many in leadership positions, to maximize our effectiveness.
Together, with help from people like you we’ve been making a difference for farmed animals since 1998.
