Join Friends of Albany Parks and TASH in taking out invasive plants and picking up trash at Albany Hill's Creekside Park on the north side of the hill. Tools, t-shirt, and lunch provided. Meet at the far south end of Santa Clara Ave, next to Cerrito Creek. Participants under 18 will need to have their parent or guardian sign a waiver. Mission Statement
Tending the Ancient Shoreline Hill (TASH) helps Albany Hill, the little hill on the East Bay shoreline, through habitat restoration and environmental education work.
Description
We remove invasive plants, clean up trash, and restore and augment native plant populations with stock grown from Albany Hill seeds and cuttings. We also hold nature walks and other activities on the hill to help people appreciate the plants and animals as well as history of the little hill.
