Why we need Lunch Providers:
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Garland works with over 1,000 volunteers each year. As a local affiliate, we are responsible for fundraising, house construction, family selection, and volunteer recruitment. Unfortunately, our affiliate does not have sufficient funds to provide lunch to all of our hardworking volunteers.
Lunches served on-site allow our volunteers to experience fellowship and our staff to keep project momentum. Commitments range from contributing one time lunch providing to "adopting" a crew to feed weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. If you are interested in getting on the schedule as a lunch sponsor, please contact Volunteer Services at volunteer@garlandhabitat.org.
What we generally need...
We generally need food for about 20-25 people. We break for lunch at 11:30 AM. The food provided varies widely from lunch sponsor to lunch sponsor. (Examples: tacos, pasta, sandwiches, pizza, hot dogs, or enchiladas, also fruit, dessert, and drinks are welcome!) Whatever the lunch, we ask lunches include a vegetarian option and are low maintenance. A table will be available for setting up the meal.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Garland brings volunteers and resources together with families in need to build simple, decent, affordable homes within the city of Garland. Habitat homes are sold at no profit and mortgaged through zero-interest loans.
