Woodland Restoration in Britton Woods

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 1 person is interested

As the name suggests, most of County Farm Park was once agricultural land. The area that was not farmed is Britton Woods - 18 acres of lovely upland and floodplain forest. Help us improve the woodland by removing invasive shrubs such as buckthorn and honeysuckle. Please be prepared for working off-trail. This hike meets at the Medford Pavilion. This workday led by Stewardship Coordinator, Katie Carlisle. Snacks, gloves and water provided.
