Remember when you learned how to read? If you’re like most people, you might not. But you probably remember how reading made you feel.
Great Schools Partnership is proud to introduce Leaders for Readers: a volunteer program to help first, second, and third grade students practice and grow their reading skills. Our mission is to raise the number of students in Knox County who can read proficiently by the end of third grade. Studies have shown us time and time again that literacy is best obtained by the end of third grade. Help us give more students the one-on-one support and practice they need in these critical years to better develop strong and deep reading skills.

***Students need reading mentors starting September 2019.***
