What will volunteers do?
1801 S. 35th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85009, US
Providing Christ-centered, life-transforming solutions to persons facing hunger and homelessness.
Founded in 1952, Phoenix Rescue Mission provides food, shelter, chapel, and other services to the homeless and working poor people of metropolitan Phoenix and beyond. Hundreds of hot meals are served daily from our dining hall. In fact, the Phoenix Rescue Mission is the only agency in the Valley that serves three meals a day, 365 days a year. Hot showers and clean clothing are available to anyone living on the streets. 180 beds provide shelter for men nightly.
Our Community Services Campus also engages the community to provide clothing and food boxes for families in need. The Hope Coach street outreach, based at this location, drives onto the streets of Phoenix almost every day to bring cold water, sack meals, and other necessities to the homeless wherever they are at to meet their need and encourage their recovery.
The Transformations Program for men is a 12-month, spiritually-based addiction recovery program. There is space available for up to 40 men at one time.
Phoenix Rescue Mission also operates the Changing Lives Center for Women and Children. As the only faith-based recovery program in the region offering long-term, comprehensive services, the Changing Lives Center helps single women and mothers with children to rebuild their lives. This 12-18 month program provides a stable, nurturing environment where women are able to work through addiction and abuse issues. They also receive life skills education and other counseling, and ultimately become self-sufficient through career assessment and job placement..
We'll work with your schedule.
