Family Service Agency of DeKalb County's Youth Mentoring provides mentoring programs for youth age 5 to 16. Youth are facing adversity are matched with adult volunteer mentors. The Professionally supported one-to-one relationship/match empowers youth to achieve what they never dreamed possible.
You can volunteer as a Mentor in 1 of 2 ways:
Community-Based:
Youth are matched with an adult volunteer mentor over the age of 18. They participate in agreed upon activities throughout the month.
Lunch Buddies:
Elementary and middle school youth are matched with an adult volunteer mentor who schedule visits during the youth's lunch/recess every other week during the course of the school year.

Family Service Agency serves as an "umbrella agency" of four distinct community programs: Youth Mentoring, Children’s Advocacy Center, Center for Counseling, and Senior Services. We organize the efforts of many local agencies to provide the best care possible to our community. Family Service Agency strives to continually meet the ever-changing needs of the community. Our long-term goal is to become a national leader with other community agencies and services, through cooperation, coordination, and partnerships.
