ORGANIZATION: Glen Ellyn Public Library

The Glen Ellyn Public Library is looking for multi-lingual storytellers willing to volunteer to be part of a series of storytimes held in January and February of 2019. Volunteers, or community readers, would share a favorite childhood story or song from their culture during a librarian-led storytime. The library is looking for people fluent in languages such as Spanish, Arabic, Sindhi, Urdu, Polish, Nepali/Burmese, French, Vietnamese, or any other world language. Description

The Glen Ellyn Public Library serves a community of over 27,000 people and is located about 20 miles West of the city of Chicago. Currently, the library holds over 220,000 items including books, magazines, DVDs and CDs. The library, also, subscribes to over four dozen online databases and conducts programs and events for all ages.
