Halcyon Hospice & Palliative Care is a nonprofit, in-home hospice with patients throughout Colorado. Volunteers thrive in various positions in our organization, providing our patients with everything they need during this emotional time.
Music therapists and hobby musicians are welcome. Music enrichment is one of our most popular requests. It's a great way to engage hospice patients, while bringing them peace and joy through music. This is a great opportunity to practice your skills in front of a non-judgmental audience. The schedule and commitment are flexible and accommodating for all. Volunteers are able to visit patients living near them on weekends, weekdays and/or evenings. All hospice related training is provided.
Seeking help in North Denver, Boulder, Northglenn, Westminster, Thornton, Evergreen, Broomfield, Brighton, Longmont, Wheat Ridge, Arvada, Golden, and more!
Feel free to email Volunteer Manager Angela Caudill at the Halcyon Aurora office (angelacaudill@myhalcyon.org) with any questions or concerns. Volunteers are needed on an on-going basis and we ask that you participate in a patient visit at least 2-3 times per month, though we are very flexible.

Mission Statement
Halcyon Hospice is committed to a standard of excellence in providing sensitive, patient centered health care to hospice patients and families.
Description
Hospice care does not seek to cure, does not seek to hasten or prolong, but instead offers comfort and support for patients and their families. Hospice facilitates emotional and spiritual growth while physical conditions change. Hospice care is provided everywhere. The hospice team specializes in the physical, social, spiritual and emotional care of the patient and family, with professionals and volunteers available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Hospice care honors the potential for growth in this cycle of life, bringing a clinically-directed, interdisciplinary team to nurture, support, and heal during the last stages of an illness and bereavement period. Non-discriminatory, hospice offers palliative care without regard to age, gender, nationality, race, creed, sexual orientation, disability, diagnosis, availability of a primary caregiver, or ability to pay.
Flexible schedules near your home (we serve the entire front range from Fort Collins to Castle Rock)
