Halcyon Hospice & Palliative Care is a nonprofit in-home hospice looking for volunteers interested in spending quality time with our patients.
Volunteers provide companionship and socialization for our patients that are lonely and in need of a friend. Volunteers can spend time with patients in a variety of ways: reading out loud, going for walks, watching favorite TV shows/movies together, assisting patients with their favorite activities, providing music at bedside, or just having coffee and chatting. Volunteers can even assist family members with errands and minor tasks around the house to ease stress. This is a great opportunity to improve someone's day and give back to your community!
Seeking help in JeffCo, Douglas County, Arapahoe County, Denver County.... i.e. Lakewood, Golden, Littleton, Denver, Cherry Creek, Centennial, Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, Castle Rock, Elizabeth, Parker, Monument, Larkspur, Colorado Springs, and more!

Mission Statement
Halcyon Hospice is committed to a standard of excellence in providing sensitive, patient centered health care to hospice patients and families.
Description
Hospice care does not seek to cure, does not seek to hasten or prolong, but instead offers comfort and support for patients and their families. Hospice facilitates emotional and spiritual growth while physical conditions change. Hospice care is provided everywhere. The hospice team specializes in the physical, social, spiritual and emotional care of the patient and family, with professionals and volunteers available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Hospice care honors the potential for growth in this cycle of life, bringing a clinically-directed, interdisciplinary team to nurture, support, and heal during the last stages of an illness and bereavement period. Non-discriminatory, hospice offers palliative care without regard to age, gender, nationality, race, creed, sexual orientation, disability, diagnosis, availability of a primary caregiver, or ability to pay.
Flexible schedules near your home (we serve the entire front range from Fort Collins to Castle Rock)
