ORGANIZATION: Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound

The Boys & Girls Club Bethel Learning Center site is seeking Education Support volunteers to help teens with homework and test preparation.

Duties:

  • Work with teens one-on-one and assist with homework.
  • Help teens prepare for tests and learn valuable study skills.
  • Teach, mentor, and motivate kids from diverse backgrounds.
Skills Needed:
  • Comfortable working with teens ages 13-18.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Minimum 19 years of age with HS Diploma/GED/Equivalent
  • Able to pass a background check and national sex offender registry check.
Time Commitment:
  • 1 hour one day per week. M,T,W or Th 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
  • 30 minute Volunteer Orientation
  • 30 minute online training.
  • Minimum 6 week commitment
