The Boys & Girls Club Bethel Learning Center site is seeking a volunteer to assist with their Healthy Lifestyles program for teens. These programs help youth demonstrate improved healthy habits and decision-making skills, and show a strong commitment to leading a healthier lifestyle. This volunteer will help empower teens to make healthful choices.

Position: Healthy Lifestyle Program Assistant

Summary of Position and Duties:

  • Assist staff with their Junior Chef Program.
  • Teach basic culinary skills.
  • Help Club members learn about nutrition and how to make healthy choices.
Qualifications:
  • Culinary and nutrition background a plus.
  • Patience working with teens.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age with HS Diplolma/GED/Equivalent.
  • Able to pass a background check and national sex offender registry check.
Time Commitment:
  • Monday and/or Wednesday
  • 3:30-4:30 p.m.
  • 30 minute Volunteer Orientation
  • 30 minute online training
  • Minimum 6 week commitment
