Become a Volunteer Docent at the Gibson House and Property in Woodland!

Docent training is scheduled for the week of March 28th.

This is a great volunteer opportunity for life-long learners who are interested in the fields of history, public history, agriculture, anthropology, art history, museum studies, library science or public education. All docents receive 20 hours of training to support Gibson House and Property educational programs by providing tours to visitors during open hours.

We run a high-quality, standards-based educational program that reflects the rich history and diverse community of Yolo County. We want our volunteers to be as diverse as our community and encourage people of all backgrounds and interests to apply.

As a volunteer you will meet new people, gain new skills and engage with the programs, services and events that create a vibrant community.

If you are interested in learning about local history and art we welcome you to respond to this posting or email ya@yoloarts.org or respond to this posting.
