Be apart of the U.S Air Force as a volunteer. Santa Barbara Squadron is looking for youth and adults to become members of the team. Youth from 12-18 years old can join our cadet program, where they participate in leadership and STEM activities with their peers. Cadets also have the opportunity to attend CAP leadership schools, support the community with a color guard and even airplane marshaling, as well as many other activities throughout the nation. For adults, you can join and be apart of the senior member ranks. Senior members comes from all walks of life and participate in every aspect of CAP. They can participate in emergency services and operations, support the cadet program and provide mentorship for the youth, and provide training and resources for educating others in aerospace education.

We are the all-volunteer auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, chartered to conduct emergency services, such as air search-and-rescue and disaster relief, aerospace education to the community, and a cadet program.
Description
In Santa Barbara, the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) is represented by Squadron 131, in existance for over fifty years. The Santa Barbara unit is active in all three of CAP's missions: emergency services, aerospace education, and the cadet program.
