We need volunteers to help us with Kokua's 2nd annual 5K Poker Run, Walk, and Roll fundraiser to benefit our community programs supporting adults with disabilities.
We need folks to help with set up and clean up, registration, timekeeping, 3 poker stops, the finish line, and the snack table.
Set up starts at 7am, registration is at 9am and the race starts at 10am. You can volunteer for a few hours or for the entire event!
Please come and help us raise money for our community programs. LEAD (Literacy & Education for Adults with Disabilities) is a partnership with The Evergreen State College and St. Martin's University. We match volunteer college students with adults with disabilities for one-on-one tutor/mentoring and Hummingbird Studio is a free, inclusive art program for individuals of ALL abilities located in downtown Olympia.

Description
Kokua Services, located in Thurston County, Washington, is a non-profit organization serving individuals with disabilities since 1990. We provide state-contracted residential supported living services to 45 individuals in their own homes. Paid Direct Service Professional caregivers assist individuals with daily tasks of living allowing them to live as independently as possible in their community. We also provide state-contracted respite and community guide services to individuals with disabilities. These services provide fun outings to help get individuals out into the community and to provide supports to work on personal goals. Our two community programs focus on social inclusion. Hummingbird studio is an art program in downtown Olympia open to individuals of ALL abilities, and LEAD (Literacy & Education for Adults with Disabilities) is a tutor/mentor program that matches college students with individuals with disabilities for one-on-one tutoring.
