Are you ready for hands-on activism? Join A Wider Circle’s In-House Team! We are seeking volunteers to help to collect and distribute furniture and other basic need items for the families we serve. Volunteers will help to unload donors’ vehicles and to restock our showroom as families select items. Each day, A Wider Circle furnishes roughly 20 homes free of charge for individuals and families who may be transitioning out of shelters, escaping domestic violence, or otherwise living without these basic need items. This is a great volunteer opportunity for individuals who are strong enough to carry half of a sleeper sofa and can commit to a three-hour volunteer shift. Volunteer shifts are available Monday - Saturday from either 10:00 am - 1:00 pm or 1:00 - 4:00 pm and Sunday from 12:00 pm- 3:00 pm or 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm. If you are interested in this opportunity, please email volunteer@awidercircle.org!

Mission Statement
This mission of A Wider Circle is simple: to end poverty for one individual and one family after another
Description
A Wider Circle is a 501(c)(3) grassroots nonprofit organization that provides holistic support to families in need. We furnish the homes of children and adults who are transitioning out of domestic violence or homeless shelters, or who are simply living without what most of us take for granted - beds, dressers, sheets, towels, and other basic need items. We offer educational programs on topics ranging from job skills and money management to stress management and other life skills. We also provide wrap-around support to those seeking to enter or re-enter the workforce, including professional attire, education, and one-on-one support. We work with the most vulnerable among us, and we do whatever we can do to help them move toward stability and independence.
