Bay Nature Institute is looking for volunteers to help out mailing the invitations to our annual fundraising gala. We're the independent environmental media nonprofit behind the publication Bay Nature magazine.
We had scheduled a 20-person volunteer group for this Saturday, and they just canceled last minute, so we're scrambling to get a volunteer group together. Your help would be soappreciated!
We'll need volunteers to help address, stuff, seal, and stamp envelopes at our friendly North Berkeley office.
This event brings in 1/3 of our fundraising income, so you would be making playing a huge role in supporting Bay Nature!
Please send an email to Development Coordinator Laney Ennis (laney@baynature.org) with your availability. The mailing will take place on Saturday, January 26, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. No need to stay the whole time -- we recommend two to three hours.
We look forward to hearing from you!

About Bay Nature Institute

Mission Statement
The Bay Nature Institute, based in Berkeley, California, inspires people through media and personal experience to explore and protect the diverse and beautiful natural world of the San Francisco Bay Area.
Description
Bay Nature is a quarterly magazine dedicated to the intelligent and joyful exploration of the natural places, plants, and wildlife of the San Francisco Bay Area. It contains writing, photography, art, and cartography about the natural history of the land and waters of the nine counties ringing the Bay, as well as significant nearby areas (such as the Delta and Monterey Bay).
Neither scientific journal nor travel guide, Bay Nature's aim is to foster a deeper connection between the Bay Area's residents and our surrounding landscapes. We do this by examining local nature from a variety of angles and in a wide range of voices, in a manner that is both accessible and intelligent, serious and playful. We see Bay Nature as a forum that brings together the local environmental, literary, artistic, and political communities, and serves the shared goal of conserving and restoring our natural heritage.
