DREAMWEEK JAX will occur January 18 - 26, 2019 and will hold it's first event on October 18, 2018 to host media and announce community partners. Volunteers are needed to coordinate weekly Thursday meetings, coordinate volunteer and partner communication, and manage social social media. The amount of time required depends on the time management of the volunteer, although 4 hours daily, Monday - Thursday, seems reasonable.

Helpful skills include creating flyers, typing meeting minutes, phone etiquette, scheduling appointments, sending out communication materials, sending out newsletters twice a month or monthly using mailchimp, and announcements and posting updates to social media.

This is a relaxed and quiet office environment situated within a one-story business center housing about 50 tenants. There is an opportunity to work from home once tasks become familiar.

Please follow us @dreamweekjax and @TheCenterforConfidence.com

We look forward to you joining the DREAMWEEK TEAM.

Mission Statement

DREAMWEEK INC's mission to promote community health and unity through the lens of Dr. King's dream using platforms of culture, art, business, and social progress.

Description

DREAMWEEKJAX 2019 will occur from January 18 - 26, 2019 with a mission to showcase Jacksonville Florida as the Dream City of the millennia in culture, art, business, and social progress. This recognition and celebration of Jacksonville’s evolution as a dream city since its founding in 1562* is long overdue. DREAMWEEK JAX is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

Organizations throughout the First Coast are invited to elevate their programs and introduce new ideas by participating in the week-long showcase. Groups will produce their own events and add them to the DREAMWEEK JAX events calendar located on Facebook @dreamweekjax (Don’t forget to LIKE!) and the website (coming soon). Event organizers may plan events and service projects according to the daily theme or produce an event for any theme for any day of the week.

The sub themes under social progress may change each year. The 2019 sub themes are education, women, health, business and entrepreneurship, and community safety. Please contact the calendar manager at info@TheCenterForConfidence.com
