Breakfast volunteers provide breakfast for our 35 Guests at LPCS every morning of the wek. Sunday breakfast volunteers arrive at 7:30 a.m. and serve an hour later. Breakfast volunteers serving Monday through Friday arrive at 6:30 a.m. and serve at 7:30 a.m. Get a group of your friends, family, or coworkers together to come prepare breakfast! You and whoever you bring with you will be responsible for the entire meal. That means you will plan a breakfast, purchase the ingredients, and prepare the meal in our kitchen. We have a fully equipped kitchen with all that you will need to cook, you will just need to provide the food. Breakfast is served buffet style from the table in front of the mural wall in the dining room. Plan to serve approximately 20-25 Guests. The average cost is $50-$75. (bringing a group of 2-5 volunteers is best).
This the perfect opportunity for folks who work or are busy during the day and evenings! Start your day off right by serving breakfast to the Guests at LPCS!

Mission Statement
LPCS brings communities together to empower individuals facing homelessness and poverty to secure stable housing and make sustainable life changes.
Description
In 1985, the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless estimated that 25,000 people would be homeless in Chicago. Concerned neighbors in the Lincoln Park area of Chicago got together to discuss a way to help homeless people in their community.
A partnership was formed with four neighboring churches: the Church of Our Savior Episcopal Church, Lincoln Park Presbyterian Church, St. Clement Catholic Church, and St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.
On February 12, 1985, Lincoln Park Community Services opened its doors to a handful of homeless neighbors.
Since its inception, LPCS has grown immensely . The churches continued to provide not only sleeping facilities, but kitchen facilities, showers, storage rooms, laundry areas, and offices. A meal program was added, our capacity increased, and social services were offered to help guests return to self-sufficiency.
LPCS now offers 24hr services and improved living and program space for 35 Guests as welll as a drop in program every Sunday. Each year we serve nearly 400 individuals experiencing homelessness and we are looking forward to expanding our services in the future, and having an even larger impact in our community.
