ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross - Southern California Region

Save lives by delivering emergency or STAT blood and blood products from our blood distribution centers to local hospitals. The American Red Cross needs volunteers to deliver blood and blood products in a safe and timely manner.

  • Drive blood or blood products FROM our blood distribution center (100 Red Cross Cir. Pomona, CA 91768) to local Orange County hospitals.
  • Commit to 1-2 shifts each month for a minimum of 6 months
  • Shifts are available in morning, afternoon and evening
  • Pick up and return boxes as needed.
  • Complete required paperwork and obtain signatures.
  • Communicate and share feedback between Red Cross personnel and customers.
  • Drive in a safe and responsible manner.
Requirements:
  • Vaccination and masks need to be worn
  • * Commit to 1-2 shifts each month (shifts available are 6:45 am - 10:45 am, 8am-12 am, 12pm -4 pm, 4pm-8pm, 6:45pm-10:45pm)
  • Valid CA state driver’s license - 3 years driving experience.
  • Able to verify safe driving records with state or insurance
  • Current car registration and insurance required if using own vehicle (Red Cross vehicles also provided)
  • Experience to demonstrate reliability.
  • Successful completion of online American Red Cross Defensive Driving Course
