Pedal to Peace is family friendly bike event on the Katy Trail supporting the movement to end domestic violence; all proceeds go toward ALIVE's programs that support and empower domestic abuse survivors and their children! It is going to be a great day full of biking, peace, love, support, food, and much anticipated laughter. We hope to see you there!
We have many great and fun opportunities to get involved with this event! Check them out and see which one fits your schedule!!
Set-up Team: 9am to 11am
- Set up tent, table, signs, coolers at starting point (just west of Defiance at Matson Trail Head)
- Set up decorations, registration table, food, coffee, raffles
- Drive to various designated points on Katy Trail (between starting point and Marthasville) and place mile marker and other signs
Registration Team: 9:30am to noon
- Sign in riders, take money from registrants, answer questions
- Issue wristbands (for lunch) and direct riders to raffle/other activities
Swag Bag Handouts and Raffle Sales Team: 9:30am to 11am
- Hand out swag bags to riders at starting point
- Encourage attendees to buy raffle tickets
Trail Morale Boosters/Judges: 10am to 2pm
- Check in as volunteer at starting point
- Drive to assigned station between starting point and Marthasville
- Cheer on riders and judge contests
- Return to starting point with contest scoring sheets (provided)
Lunch Host: 10:30am to 1:30pm
- Check in as volunteer at starting point
- Drive to Augusta Brew Haus
- Greet riders as they arrive, direct them to lunch, inform raffle winners of their prizes
Welcome Back Team: 1:30 to 4pm
- Cheer, clap, and thank riders upon their return to starting point
- Distribute prizes and raffle items to winners
- Thank riders and answer questions
Breakdown Team: 1pm to 4pm
- Check in as volunteer at starting point
- Drive to Marthasville and wait for last riders to begin return to starting point
- Follow bikers on trail eastbound and pick up signs on trail and return signs to starting point
- Assist with clean-up and breakdown (see set-up)

Description
ALIVE (Alternatives to Living in Violent Environments) is a domestic violence agency that serves St.Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Jefferson County and Franklin County, Missouri. We provide the following programs and services to individuals regardless of gender and sexual orientation: 24-hour hotline, Nights of Safety (Short-term emergency shelter,) Individual Counseling, Group Counseling, Court Advocacy Systems, Advocacy Outreach, Services Education, Training Referrals, Transportation, Social Services, and Special Services.
