If you are looking to get outside and connect with new people right in your backyard, this is the opportunity for you! California native plants play an important role in the health of our parks. To help them thrive, we have to work together to remove non-native and invasive plants.
The location we have set aside to maintain is the Heritage Orchard at Coyote Creek Parkway Visitor Center in Morgan Hill. We have recently planted new fruit trees and have made an opportunity for four raised garden beds to be constructed and filled (see Scout Projects if you are interested in taking on this opportunity, we will provide the materials). We will need folks to pull the non-native plants, prune the fruit trees, plant seeds, harvest fruits and vegetables and overall maintain the garden.
