Safe Haven --a day shelter for people who are homeless, hungry, or in need of a good meal-- is looking for the help of a Spanish speaking volunteer at the check-in table. This opportunity is every Thursday at First Christian Church in Falls Church from 9AM to 12PM. The volunteer will welcome guests as they come inside, get them signed in, and register first time visitors. Safe Haven was established in 1996 and provides breakfast, lunch, haircuts, a clothing closet, and basic medical advice. On average over 100 people attend every Thursday.

Description
New Hope Housing is the largest provider of shelter beds in Northern Virginia. In addition to shelter, we provide our residents with opportunities to better their lives through case management, life skills courses, recreational activities for children and adults, parenting classes, GED tutoring and our Employment Resource Center.
