ORGANIZATION: Talented Girls in Action

Talented Girls in Action is non-profit program that empowers young girls from underprivileged communities ages 12 to 18. Our program provides services such as tutoring, mentor-ships, enrichment activities and a character development curriculum.
We're looking for people who loves creating content ensuring it meets style and tone of voice. People that can transform academic and informational content into something inspirational and vibrant. Responsibilities will include:

  • Support visual marketing strategies by development and execution of still photography and videography assets to be used in cohesive advertising, marketing, public relations, brand identity and content creation strategies.
  • Video/Photo projects to provide a wide variety of visual storytelling for online, print, on-site, video & social media spaces.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, including content delivery standards and usability
  • Ability to work independently. Ability to create new engaging content by yourself with limited team input

Mission Statement

Talented Girls In Action is a 501(c) nonprofit organization that exist to advance the next generation of young girls to operate at a standard of excellence in every aspect of their lives, by unlocking their unique potential as well as forming a life long passion for education. TGIA will incorporate discipline, integrity and acts of service into the curriculum to assist girls as they matriculate into the next chapter of their lives.

Description

Talented Girls In Action is an after school program that exist to advance the next generation of young girls through a multifaceted curriculum, mentor-ship, individualized tutoring and enrichment opportunities.

We serve girls from the ages of 12 to 18 that come from disadvantage backgrounds. Our main initiative to encourage girls to come into confident possession of their own unique talents by transforming their underprivileged mindset and providing a new outlook into their academic future.

Many young girls are dealing with very challenging socio-economic issues that inhibit them from finding positive outlets for their time and energy.

Through TGIA young girls will be able to discuss their problems in a safe and nurturing environment where viable solution are provided for them to pursue. All the while developing a positive outlook for their futures and their self image.
