At Arundel Lodge, our Mission is to improve the lives of children, adults and families impacted by mental health and substance use disorders.

The Activity Buddy will provide one-to-one companionship, emotional support, and facilitate socialization for the client outings, for example, to Maryland Hall for Creative Arts, to Annapolis Senior Center for art or opera class activities. The Activity Buddy will work together with the program team to coordinate dates, times and locations and be expected to transport the client to and from, as well as attend, the offsite activities. This volunteer position is flexible and varies in the time commitment based on the availability of the volunteer and needs of our client.

Volunteers need to have a desire to help others, a willingness to commit to volunteering their time on a regular basis, and an awareness and compassion towards individuals living with mental health challenges. In addition, Volunteer will be expected to complete orientation and pre-screening requirements such as background and drug test.
