BECOME A HOSPICE VOLUNTEER! Hospice Volunteers come from all walks of life and bring comfort and companionship to individuals with life-limiting illnesses. Serving the Atlanta, and West Georgia region, Bristol Hospice provides visiting volunteers to give a much-needed presence and support to our patients and their families. Join our team and receive training and guidance, knowledge and skills that will prepare you to offer end-of-life companionship and support.
Bristol Hospice is urgently seeking patient companion volunteers in the Atlanta, South Atlanta, West Atlanta area. We go where our patients are: home, assisted living facility, nursing homes, memory care units, etc. There is travel involved, so a form of reliable transportation is necessary.

In order to be considered you must be:
18 years old or older
Be able to travel to where the patient lives
Pass a background check (paid for by us)
Pass a drug test and TB test (paid for by us)
Complete online Relias training modules
Attend a mandatory orientation
I am looking for committed, dependable, compassionate individuals to make visits to our terminally ill patients. Visits can be anywhere from 1 or 2 times per week to a minimum of 1 time per month. We can work with your schedule. Days, evenings and weekends are available.
You can, read, play music, chat, go take a walk down memory lane, look at old photos, or do light housekeeping (if needed and agreed to).
Visit a patient who may not have many visitors. Provide home respite if needed.
