Hearts for San Diego is looking for general volunteers for our upcoming Sock Drive for the Homeless.
Did you know that socks are some of the most needed items for people who are homeless. Imagine walking in their shoes, the socks gain a lot of miles. Hearts for San Diego is hosting a sock drive to collect and distribute the socks to the homeless population in San Diego.
We need volunteers who will help decorate and distribute drop off boxes to local businesses. Or if you or your company would like to host a box to help collect the socks, please contact Linda at 808-777-0036 or by email at linda@ heartsforsd.org
The Sock drive will start on October 1st until October 31st for the month of Socktober. Volunteers will be needed before to help prep and drop off boxes. During the month to check on the boxes. And at the end of the month to gather the boxes, help count the socks and then distribute the socks to local charity partners who can help us distribute the socks in the San Diego community.
Hearts for San Diego also have other volunteer opportunities during the month of September and October to help spread the word about this endeavor and Hearts for San Diego's other endeavors.
In October we are also hosting Bow Wow Beer Bash for the Dog lovers out there. And are always looking for Pawsome volunteers.

Hearts for San Diego organizes FUNdraising events on behalf of our local charities. We are run 100% by volunteers who are passionate about giving back to our community and supporting a variety of causes. Each event spotlights a different charity/cause, and is designed in the most cost-effective manner to provide an affordable, fun, educational and engaging experience.
Our goal is to increase awareness of our spotlighted charities and their missions, and to generate greater levels of volunteerism and financial support to help them succeed with their inspiring work. By organizing all aspects of the fundraising events, we provide our charities with much needed "breathing room" while simultaneously expanding their community reach to potential volunteers and donors.
