While there are many youth-oriented programs in America today, the Civil Air Patrol's cadet program is unique in that it uses aviation as a cornerstone. Our Cadet Program is a place where Cadets learn leadership & aerospace, participate with other teenagers in outdoor activities and get in shape with physical fitness events. Our goal is to provide consistent weekly opportunities for Cadets to achieve through training, activities and events that focus on Leadership, Aerospace, Physical Fitness, Character Development and Community Service.
Whatever your interests-survival training, flight training, photography, astronomy-there's a place for you in our cadet program. Cadets also compete for academic scholarships to further their studies in fields such as engineering, science, aircraft mechanics, aerospace medicine, meteorology and many others. Those cadets who become cadet officers may enter the Air Force at an advanced pay grade if they choose to enlist.
Your local Civil Air Patrol unit is training young men and women just like yourself for exiting futures:
The Manchester Squadron meets each Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at the New Hampshire Aviation Museum (27 Navigator Rd, Londonderry, NH 03053).
To become a Cadet, you must be at least 12 years old and not yet 19 years old. Cadets meet 2 hours per week and one Saturday per month, on average, and also have opportunities to attend weekend and week-long leadership activities, career academies, and other activities during the summer .
