During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
The SS Red Oak Victory is looking for welders to help us restore and maintain our floating museum! Do you have a current welder certification?
Built in 1944, this ship was assembled in pieces, and then sections were lifted by crane into place and welded into their final configuration. We are looking for welders who have stick welding experience to assist on some restoration projects aboard. We are currently operating on 2 1940s DC-powered welding machines.
Interested volunteers should have a general knowledge of work safety training, and are required to adhere to all CDC work guidelines.
