Come join Eugene Science Center for our annual Mini Maker Faire on Saturday, September 29th! The Mini Maker Faire is a collaborative project with Eugene Maker Space and MAKE Magazine. The event showcases makers in our local community and provides a number of hands on activities to engage the public with engineering. You can read more about the event at eugene.makerfaire.com.

We need volunteers to help with this event! Volunteers will help us set up the event, run our engineering activities at the event itself, assist staff with admissions, and help clean up. This is one of our largest events of the year!

Morning shifts are 9:30am to 1:45pm, and afternoon shifts are 1:15pm to 4:30pm. Free admission to enjoy the event before or after your shift is included as a thank you for your help.

Volunteers interested in this event should comfortable with large crowds, working with children, and learning to run a craft upon arrival to their station. Maker Faire is often in hot sunny weather, so be sure to bring sun protection, water, and snacks.

If you are only interested in volunteering for this single event, you can email volunteer@eugenesciencecenter.org with the subject line: Maker Faire Volunteer

Volunteers interested in ongoing opportunities can apply for our program online at eugenesciencecenter.org/volunteer.
