Providence ElderPlace_PACE is an innovative program of services for older adults. Providence ElderPlace helps older adults remain as healthy and independent as possible in the community for as long as possible.

In-Home Friendly Visitors: The ElderPlace In-Home Friendly Visitors program provides one-on-one support to our participants within their living environment outside of the ElderPlace facilities.

We have fourteen participants joining us in the Kent/Renton/Federal Way area who would love to have weekly or bi monthly visitors:

-There are two lovely ladies would love to socialize. Their interests are arts and crafts, reading, coloring and country music.
--This wonderful gentleman has a dog, enjoys all animals, sports, music and dancing and would welcome a volunteer to spend time with.
---This personable gentleman enjoys music, sports and weight lifting.

-This wonderful woman would love to go on walks with a friend.
--This lovely lady enjoys reading, soap operas, playing games on her computer and phone, backgammon, mahjong, word search puzzles, and 1:1 conversations
---This fantastic woman loves movies, books, word searches, quilting and church.

-This wise woman is a former postal worker. She likes to watch police and crime shows, Gladys Knight, word search, and bingo.
--This wonderful gentleman has a passion for trains and railroads.

-This fine gentleman likes music, arts and crafts and reading.
--This lovely woman enjoys arts, crafts, reading and puzzles.

-This gregarious gentleman enjoys Science Fiction, WWII stories, and classic rock.

--This splendid woman enjoys 50's and 60's rock n roll, and coloring.

-This veteran loves jazz and likes to talk with other military people
--This wonderful woman's interests are magazines, music and word searches.

A general new volunteer orientation of two hours is required. An in home volunteer orientation for this opportunity is provided.
