Assist during the opening of our annual Paint Detroit with Generosity show. You may serve as our welcoming greeter or serve refreshments. You may need to remind children to look and not touch the paintings or encourage adults to donate to Mint Artists Guild or buy some of our greeting cards. Also you may need to remind the Mint teen artists to behave professionally and interact with guests!
Help with set up or clean up too.
We are looking for friendly, outgoing people who love art and like teens.
None of the creative work is for sale - all 30 pieces will be donated to local nonprofits after the exhibit closes. (Maybe you want to help us deliver the paintings too?)
Two shifts: 4:30 - 6:30 pm or 6:30 - 8:30 pm

Mission Statement
Mint Artists Guild helps to transform aspiring Detroit youth artists through education, exceptional engagement and experience, resulting in earning opportunities, skill-building, exposure, and mentoring. Mint launches creative careers and lasting connections. Mint also infuses the community with art and creative experiences, enhancing a collaborative, healthy and generous culture.
Description
Mint works with artists ages 13 to 23 on entrepreneurial, career and life skills, and gives them opportunities to sell their creative work. A summer jobs program, business workshops and online educational and informational resources are offered to young visual artists. In 2020, we launched the Metro Detroit Youth Arts Competition, a creative activity kit giveaway (of 5,500 kits) and in 2021, we launched leadership development training. This year, we are working on an alumni engagement program, adding creative jobs to our website and so much more. We need your help and support to continue our growth!
