APDA Optimism Walk for Parkinson's Disease
Looking for some energetic volunteers to lend a hand with an assortment of tasks at upcoming fundraising Walk, including, but not limited to:
- Setting up the event (tables/chairs, placing signage, etc)
- Greeting/directing walkers as they arrive
- Registering new participants
- Helping sponsors with their table set-ups
- Cheering/encouraging walkers along the walk route
- Clean-up and event break-down
Timeframe is flexible. It's ok if you cannot do the full 6:30am-12:30pm shift. Let us know your availability and we'll work with you :)
Event takes place rain or shine.

The APDA Long Island Optimism Walk is part of a nationwide event series to raise funds and awareness for Parkinson's disease. The event is hosted by the American Parkinson Disease Association.
NOTE: The safety of participants, volunteers, and staff is our priority. Any necessary public health guidelines and safety measures will be in place.
