POSITION SUMMARY: Seeking virtual s ocial media strategist(s) to join our team. (A stipend may be available for the right candidate.) This position will help develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy, including maintaining a content calendar to increase brand awareness and promote web traffic. This will include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Meetup, and may include providing assisting with blog support. Ideal volunteer will be able to establish an efficient workflow to manage content across these sites. The position will coordinate directly with Mission Addiction director and with other MA leaders as necessary. Ideal volunteer should be highly self-motivated, be willing to take initiative, and have an interest in social media, as well as marketing and general business. Candidate should be enthusiastic, showing willingness to promote MA's story on all social media platforms requested. Both junior and senior candidates will be considered.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Excellent written communication skills, including accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in all basic computer applications and programs, including Microsoft Office suite, Google platform, and social media platforms mentioned above
  • Strong research, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience in creating social media content for business or nonprofits is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of basic graphic design practices and principles

PREFERRED:
  • Knowledge and/or experience about mental health, addiction, and growing in faith

DUTIES : Responsible for understanding Mission Addiction's current social media practices marketing strategy, and branding, and using research best practices for similar organizations to help establish a fluid social media design. This includes creating a content calendar across all platforms that supports marketing initiatives and fundraising campaigns. Once strategy is established, this position will support all social media platforms, including content posts and maintenance.

Other duties include:

- Adjust MA strategy to increase social media following and build networking as necessary
- Interact with MA representatives to maintain content calendar, and update posts
- Participate in MA activities and/or meetings as appropriate

Mission Addiction was founded by a business consultant and faith leader in January, 2017.
