Hospice of the South Coast is seeking bilingual volunteers, primarily in Spanish and English, to assist as either a Patient Care Volunteer or as an Office Volunteer.
- As a Patient Care Volunteer you will be making a positive difference in someone's life. Your main goal is providing the patient and/or family with emotional support and companionship. Patient Care Volunteers go out to the patient's home or to their assisted living facility. Volunteer activities may include watching TV, reading, listening to music, crafts, scrap-booking, assisting with letter writing, providing social stimulation, and most of all becoming a new friend. Please note that volunteers provide no medical care, medical assistance, or personal hygiene care.
- As an Office Volunteer you will be gaining valuable Hospice experience and understanding by assisting us with general office admin duties, such as copying, filing, faxing, putting together patient materials, and reception.
If you are looking for a rewarding volunteer opportunity then we'd love to hear from you! We are seeking volunteers for all over San Diego County, we have a great need in South Bay.
To volunteer please call Cindy Gilcrest- Volunteer Program Coordinator 760-519-1339 or at cmunson@hospiceofsouthcoast.
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration!
