Description

Come contribute to a green capital by inventorying trees in this important wildlife corridor! Join us to measure trees at Oxon Run Outdoor Good Pool. Arborists need our help in cataloging this important green space. Help us manage and maintain this space.

Who Should Attend?
This opportunity is open to the general public. No previous experience necessary!

Come Prepared
We will plan to conduct the inventory rain or shine so please wear appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes for walking short distances. Participants are welcome to bring water and a snack.

Getting There
Metrobus A2 stops half a block from the pool entrance.

Where to Meet
Be on the lookout for the green/white Casey Trees table. The table will be set up between the pool and Hard Middle School. Participants will be emailed a detailed map closer to the inventory date.

Casey Trees is a Washington DC-based non-profit established in 2001 committed to restoring, enhancing and protecting the tree canopy of the Nation's Capital.

Casey Trees helps individuals and groups add new trees and protect existing ones; provides diverse educational opportunities including hands-on workshops, classroom lectures and monthly Tree Walks; offers year-round volunteer opportunities; develops interactive online tree tools for public use; works with elected officials, community members and developers to promote innovative tree space design; and connects people to and through trees.
