Refugees arrive in the United States with very little possessions. As part of Lutheran Family Services’ refugee resettlement program, we help refugees get established in their new community and home. We are seeking volunteers who love to shop and will purchase culturally appropriate personal, household, and grocery items on a store account and put them away in the new family’s home.
Requirements: Potential volunteers must pass a criminal background check. Volunteers must also provide a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance for a DMV check. This position is great for volunteers available weekdays or evening whom are able to commit one-time, occasionally, weekly, or on a monthly basis.
